Effective date: 1 October 2026
CRAVE Social is a community for open-minded adults – singles and couples – to meet people who want the same things. It only works when everyone feels safe, respected and in control. These Community Guidelines apply to everything on CRAVE: profiles, usernames, photos, bios, Quickies, vouches and messages. They form part of our Terms and Conditions.
Breaking these guidelines can lead to content being removed, warnings, feature limits, suspension or a permanent ban. Serious breaches – especially anything involving minors, threats or non-consensual imagery – are reported to the police and relevant authorities.
Adults only – zero tolerance for anything involving minors
- You must be 18 or over to use CRAVE. Both people on a couple profile must be 18 or over.
- Never post, send, request or link to any image or text that involves or sexualises a person under 18 – including "age play" content, cartoons or AI-generated images. This is an immediate permanent ban and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
- Never post photos that include children, even innocent family photos.
- If you think someone on CRAVE is under 18, report them using "Appears Under 18". Read our Child Safety Standards.
Be real
- Use photos of yourself (or of you both, for couples) that were taken recently and show your face clearly in your main photo.
- Don't impersonate anyone, use someone else's photos, use celebrity or stock images, or create fake or misleading profiles.
- Be honest about your age, profile type and relationship situation. If you're in a couple profile, your partner must know about and agree to the account.
- One account per person or couple. Don't create new accounts to get around a ban, block or limit.
Photo rules
Every photo is checked by our moderation team before anyone else can see it. CRAVE is a flirty, adult space, but it is not a place for pornography.
Public photos and your profile picture must not include
- nudity – including exposed genitals, buttocks or female nipples – or see-through clothing that reveals them;
- sexual acts, sexually explicit poses or sex toys;
- anyone under 18, or anyone who hasn't agreed to appear on CRAVE;
- contact details, watermarks, QR codes, website addresses or social media handles;
- violence, weapons, drugs, hate symbols or graphic content;
- screenshots, memes or images that don't show you.
Swimwear, gym wear and tasteful lingerie are fine in public photos as long as nothing listed above is visible.
Private photos
Private photos are blurred and are only viewable by members with CRAVE+. They can be a little more personal, but they are still moderated and must still follow the law and these guidelines: no sexual acts, no exposed genitals, no pornographic content, nobody under 18, and nobody who hasn't consented.
Never share other people's photos
Do not screenshot, save, share or post other members' photos – especially private photos – outside the conversation they were shared in. Sharing intimate images without consent is a serious breach and a crime in many countries.
Keep contact details out of public text
Don't put phone numbers, email addresses, social media or messaging-app usernames, website links or QR codes in your username, bio, photos, Quickies or vouches. It protects you from spam and scams. Once you have matched and feel comfortable, it's up to you what you share in a private chat.
No commercial sex, escorting or solicitation
- CRAVE is for people meeting each other because they want to – never for money.
- Don't offer, request, advertise or hint at escorting, prostitution, sex work, paid companionship, "sugar" arrangements, webcam or content-subscription services, or any exchange of money, gifts or favours for meeting or for photos.
- Don't promote businesses, events, clubs, parties with an entry charge, products, websites or other apps without our written permission.
- No spam, chain messages, pyramid schemes or crypto/investment offers.
Respect and consent
- Consent comes first – online and in person. "No", no reply or an unmatch means no. Don't pressure anyone.
- Don't send unsolicited sexual messages or images. Wait until it's clearly welcome.
- No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, intimidation or abusive language.
- No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age. Having preferences is fine; insulting people isn't.
- Don't share anyone's personal information (such as their real name, address, workplace or photos) without permission.
- Respect members' boundaries in their profile and Cravings.
Quickies
- Quickies are short-lived invitations to meet (live for up to 48 hours). Keep them friendly and non-explicit.
- Describe a general area only – never post a home address or exact location.
- Suggest meeting in public places first. All meet-ups must be between consenting adults and legal where you are.
- No commercial offers, paid events or contact details.
Vouches
- Only vouch for members you have genuinely met in person.
- Keep vouches honest, respectful and non-explicit. Don't use vouches to share private details about someone.
- Don't trade vouches or ask people to vouch for you in return for anything.
Stay safe and legal
- Never ask other members for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or financial information. If someone asks you, report them.
- Don't promote or sell illegal drugs, weapons or anything illegal.
- Don't use bots, scripts or third-party apps to swipe, message or scrape CRAVE.
- Read our Safety Tips before meeting anyone.
How to report, block and unmatch
- Report: tap the menu on any profile, Quickie or chat and choose Report. Pick the reason (for example Inappropriate Photos, Feels Like Spam, Appears Under 18, Fake Profile / Scam) and add any details. Reports are confidential.
- Block: blocking someone hides your profile from them and stops them contacting you. You can manage blocked members in Settings.
- Unmatch: removes the match and the conversation for both of you.
- You can also email safety@cravesocial.co.za. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
How we enforce these guidelines
Our moderation team, supported by automated tools, reviews every photo before it goes live and every report we receive, with reports involving minors or a risk of harm handled first. Depending on how serious a breach is, we may remove content, warn you, limit features, suspend your account temporarily or ban it permanently, and we may preserve information and share it with law enforcement where the law requires or allows. If you believe we made a mistake, contact support@cravesocial.co.za and we'll review it.
Thanks for helping make CRAVE a fun, respectful and safe place for everyone.
