This Cookie Policy explains how the CRAVE Social website at cravesocial.co.za (the "Website") uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and SDKs. They can be "strictly necessary" for a site to work, or used for things like analytics and advertising, which normally require your consent.
Cookies on our Website
Our Website does not use analytics, advertising, social media or other tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking pixels. Because we don't use any non-essential cookies, you won't see a cookie consent banner.
The Website may use only strictly necessary technologies that are required to deliver the pages you request securely, for example:
- temporary security and load-balancing data set by our hosting infrastructure to protect the Website from abuse;
- information held in your browser's memory while you use the contact or account-deletion forms. When you delete your account through the Website, your details are sent securely to our servers to complete the deletion; the temporary sign-in token used is handled only on our server for that request and is never stored in your browser or in a cookie.
Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent under the EU and UK ePrivacy rules. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the Website will continue to work.
Our web fonts are served from our own servers, so loading the Website does not send your information to a font provider.
If we ever decide to use analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
Links to other websites
The Website links to the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those sites use their own cookies, which are governed by Apple's and Google's own policies.
The CRAVE Social app
The mobile app does not use browser cookies. It does use device identifiers and SDKs – for example for push notifications, in-app purchases and, for free members, advertising through Google AdMob (subject to your consent where required and to Apple's App Tracking Transparency on iOS). These are described in sections 2 and 6 of our Privacy Policy, where you'll also find how to manage your choices.
